The Battle of the Spoilt Dyke

The Vice Chair of the current Land Court, Sheriff MacLeod, has contacted us to say that they hope to have some events in Skye on Saturday 28th April in connection with the Centenary of the Scottish Land Court.

There will be a short ceremony at the Battle of the Braes Memorial at 3 p.m..

The main event however will be a lecture at Portree High School by Professor Ewen Cameron, when their Centenary book will be launched.

Sheriff MacLeod has asked particularly that we encourage as many members of the Portree Local History Society as possible to attend.
