Help Needed

House by Loch Snizort

We have received this picture of what is believed to be "a house by the shore of Loch Snizort".

It comes from a Family Tree collection concerning the Mackay family who lived at Tote, Snizort before they emigrated to Australia in 1852 on the Georgiana.

It is said to be the cottage that the MacKay family lived in on the shores of Loch Snizort, before they emigrated.

We would be really interested to know if anyone can identify the location of the house, or let us know if any traces of it remain.

One suggestion is that it might be near the point at which the River Snizort flows into the loch, by Bernisdale, but that is only tentative informed guesswork!
