"Borva Stores" - any ideas?

I am doing some research for my family genealogy and was wondering if
there is any signifigance to the title such as in an address from the mid
1940s:

"Borva stores, Portree"

that you might be familiar with?

Rita Campbell, Secretary of the Portree Local History Society attended a talk in Kyleakin given by Tom Parnell of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and
Historical Monuments of Scotland.

He showed examples of examples of what is available on their website.

They are working on a project to publish and digitise Illustrated Architectural Guides, one of which will be The Western Seaboard (Western Isles, Lochaber and Skye and Lochalsh). They encourage heritage groups and schools, among others, to contribute any material on the built environment, e.g. photographs, drawings or just
information or stories.

This Blog page is intended to be used by visitors to the pages of the Portree Local History Society.

The Society, and the administrator of the web pages, cannot carry out genealogical research, nor can we respond to individual questions relating to Family History. As the site develops, we may be able to put you in touch with people who can.

However, we are providing this Blog space for people to lodge their questions and thoughts about issues local to the History of Portree and Skye.

The pages are open, but they will be moderated and unsuitable material will be removed as soon as it is found.

We hope this facility will be respected and used.
