Jim Leslie, retired teacher, and his son, Professor of Cardiology, set up the History of Highland Hospitals project in 2008.
Their recently published ‘Hospitals of Skye’ draws on sources not previously available in archive collections.
Jim’s talk will include detailed reference to all the local hospitals

The MacDonalds of Waternish - a family and community history

The MacDonalds of Waternish and Belfinlay were an old Highland family, closely connected to the chiefs of Clanranald and by marriage to most of the notable Hebridean families.
Regimental and family matters took them all over the world whilst at home their farming and other business ventures continued.
